Initial D stars high school student Takumi "Tak" Fujiwara. Tak is a regular student who earns his living by working at a gas station during the day and for his dad's family tofu shop driving deliveries in his father's AE86 Trueno. Or so it seems? As the story moves on, street racing is shown to be really popular.
